Singapore goes well beyond the usual haunted-house formula every October, and 2026's line-up is a case in point. Beyond the big-name Halloween Horror Nights, the city has stacked the month with pub crawls, candlelit concerts, family character parties and even a horror experience spread across three separate clubhouses.
For night owls, the Official Singapore Halloween Pub Crawl on 31 October starts at Mogambo Bar & Restaurant at 7pm before guiding costumed crowds through four surprise venues around Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. Tickets start from $53.49, it's an 18-and-over event, and there are giveaways and photo ops along the way. Nearby, CQ @ Clarke Quay is running a free alternative: a screening of Haunted Mansion with a Best Dressed contest and photo booths.
If you'd rather solve a crime than dance through one, Adventure Cove Waterpark on Sentosa is hosting Pool Party Panic on selected Saturdays until 31 October. Bluwater Bay becomes a neon-lit pool party with live DJs, interrupted by a browser-based murder mystery played via QR code — five crime scenes drawing on Singapore folklore, five suspects, and puzzles to crack solo or with friends. Over at Truth or Dare Rooftop Bar, singles can try Snog, Marry, Accuse, a reality-dating-show murder mystery (£250,000 fictional prize, one murdered islander) with character dossiers sent two weeks in advance, from $41.97.
The most ambitious fright of the season is HomeTeamNS' SpoOktober: Detention After Dark, a school-horror story told in three chapters at three clubhouses — The First Assembly at Bedok Reservoir (17–18 October), The Night Walk at Bukit Batok (24–25 October) and The Last Class at Khatib (31 October–1 November). Tickets run from $22 for members to $35 for the public, with group bundles available.
Not everyone wants jump scares. Universal Studios Singapore's Trick or Thrills runs daily until 1 November and is included with normal park admission (from $79 adult/$69 child): Minions in monster gear at the Belloween Ball, Kuromi in her Halloween outfit, Sesame Street and Shrek meet-and-greets, plus free candy giveaways. For a gentler evening, the Candlelight concert at The Arts House on 30–31 October pairs a live string quartet with Thriller, Ghostbusters, Psycho and Danse Macabre — 65 minutes by candlelight, tickets from $43, ages 8 and up.
There's also a costume-plus-trivia night at BQ Bar ($30.44 with a drink included), a Halloween event at National Gallery Singapore, and neighbourhood parties including the well-known Woodgrove Estate celebration, where an entire residential estate gets decorated for trick-or-treaters.
Who's it for? Pretty much everyone: families have Universal and the estate parties, couples and music fans have the Candlelight concert, and groups of friends can pick between trivia, a pool-party mystery or a bar crawl. Prices are mostly $22–$80, so you can build an entire spooky weekend without breaking the bank — just book the 31 October events early, since they all land on the same night.
