Ao Vua Tourist Area, a resort and entertainment spot at the foot of Tản Viên Mountain about 60-70km west of central Hanoi, is rolling out digital technology across almost everything it does. Room management, e-ticketing for sightseeing and wellness services, restaurant ordering, and social media marketing are all being brought online as the site works toward smarter, more streamlined operations.

The push is part of a wider local effort. In early October 2026, Ao Vua hosted a livestream titled "Suối Hai - Land and People" as part of a 100-day digital transformation campaign in Suối Hai Commune, where the tourist area sits. Framed around the theme "Discover Ao Vua - One Destination, Many Experiences", the broadcast showcased local scenery, products and services to online audiences.

The practical changes are what matter most to visitors. Accommodation now runs on management software, and e-tickets cover the site's sightseeing, entertainment and spa-style offerings, cutting queues and paperwork. In the restaurants, guests can book tables, browse the menu and order through the system, which the operators say reduces manual work and speeds up service. The move aligns with Vietnam's national digital transformation agenda under Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW from December 2024, which encourages science, technology and innovation breakthroughs.

Ao Vua has also leaned into social media, particularly Facebook and TikTok, posting photos, videos and livestreams so potential visitors can explore the destination before committing to a trip. That matters here, because the resort's selling point is its natural setting: mountain-backed lakes, greenery and a mix of leisure and resort facilities, all within easy reach of Hanoi.

Why should a traveller care? Mostly convenience. A day trip or weekend stay at Ao Vua is now simpler to organise from your phone - you can watch a livestream, buy an e-ticket and reserve a table without any back-and-forth. And if you haven't heard of the place, it's a solid alternative to better-known Ba Vi area attractions: close enough to Hanoi for a day out, far enough to feel like a proper escape. With the tourism industry across Vietnam pushing to meet visitors on digital platforms, expect more spots like this to follow suit.
