Dubai's biggest winter event has locked in its dates. The 32nd edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) runs from December 4, 2026 to January 17, 2027 — a 45-day stretch that organisers say will make it the longest-running edition ever. Expect citywide retail sales, raffles and a rolling calendar of live events through the festive season and beyond.
Several fan favourites are back. DSF X Hatta Wadi Hub transforms the Hatta adventure spot into a family day out with food pop-ups, outdoor cinema and free activities, while DSF Nights brings local live music to Festival Bay. In the malls, city-wide promotions and the DSF Auto Season — which closes out the festival in January — give bargain hunters plenty to chase.
There's some new blood this year too. The etisalat Beach Canteen, postponed earlier in 2026, joins DSF for the first time, setting up at Sunset Beach from December 10 to 27 with a curated line-up of restaurants, workshops and live entertainment. It's timed nicely for golden-hour visits in Dubai's pleasantly cool December weather. Come January, etisalat MOTB takes over the d3 district from January 8 to 24, layering futuristic art installations, street food and shopping into one of the festival's most photogenic spaces.
One thing still up in the air: the weekend fireworks and drone shows that usually light up Dubai's skies in December haven't been confirmed for this edition yet, so keep an eye on the official @dubaifestivals channels before planning an evening around them.
If you're considering a winter trip, DSF is arguably the best-value window to see Dubai. Hotel prices spike around New Year, but early December and mid-January offer warm days, cool evenings and discounts across malls from Dubai Mall to Mall of the Emirates. The festival also spans two adjoining weekends-friendly stretches — the pre-Christmas shopping rush and the January sales — so you can pick your crowd level. Shoppers should set aside time beyond the malls too: Hatta's mountain setting is roughly 90 minutes from downtown and makes a proper day trip, while d3 sits conveniently near Downtown Dubai.
Whether you're going purely for the deals or using the shopping as a backdrop for beach days and desert drives, the 2026-27 festival gives you nearly seven weeks of reasons to book that winter sun break.
