Dallas's stylish Knox Street district is about to gain a serious new address. Auberge Resorts Collection, better known for its resort properties, is putting down urban roots with the Knox, a 140-room hotel tucked along the leafy Katy Trail. Reservations are already open, with doors swinging wide on January 29 and nightly rates starting at $1,000.
Design duties went to Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the London-based firm behind some of hospitality's most talked-about interiors. Their take leans into the neighborhood's greenery: expect emerald tones, golden animal-print wallpaper, and marble-clad bathrooms with green-framed mirrors. Entry-level rooms have personality; the suites go further, wrapped head to toe in botanical prints with bold custom furniture.
The top-tier accommodations read more like private homes than hotel rooms. The Manse, the largest suite, comes with its own gym, wellness room, bar and media room, while the 2,100-square-foot Promenade adds an indoor bar and sprawling living and dining space. For extended stays, there are two- and three-bedroom apartments — Abbott House, Hester House and Hyland House — with full kitchens and indoor-outdoor layouts, all backed by full hotel service. The property also includes 48 private residences designed by Chad Dorsey Design, blurring the line between hotel and neighborhood living.
Food and drink get plenty of attention too. There's a signature restaurant focused on classic American cooking, a European-style salon for indoor and outdoor dining, a speakeasy-flavored evening lounge, and poolside service with views of the Dallas skyline. A Wellbeing by Auberge program rounds out the offer, built around thermal rituals, skin therapies and holistic treatments with a longevity angle. Event space for weddings and meetings is also part of the plan, a nod to Auberge's ambitions to make the Knox a gathering spot for locals as much as visitors.
For travellers, this is Auberge's first foray into Dallas and a fresh upscale option in one of the city's most walkable pockets. Knox Street itself is a draw — independent boutiques, solid restaurants and easy access to the Katy Trail for running or cycling into Uptown. If you've been curious about Auberge's style without the resort price of a coastal escape, a city stay here could be the entry point, though with rates from $1,000 a night, 'entry point' is relative.
