Booking the Maldives over Christmas and New Year usually means bracing for peak-season prices. Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is trying to soften that blow with a Festive Special Offer that knocks up to 20% off room rates for stays between December 20, 2026 and January 10, 2027, provided you book by November 15, 2026.
The resort sits on Furanafushi island, a short shared speedboat ride from Velana International Airport — and those transfers come free with the deal, which matters because many Maldivian resorts charge a few hundred dollars per person just to reach the island. Full-board dining is included, and children aged 11 and under stay and eat free when sharing with parents, which changes the maths considerably for families who'd otherwise be paying child rates at premium-season prices.
Food is a big part of the package. Breakfast and dinner are served at the Feast buffet, with à la carte lunch and dinner options spanning Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican and Asian menus at selected venues. Adults also get up to USD 45 in dining credit to spend at the resort's speciality spots: Baan Thai for Thai cooking, or Sea Salt for seafood pitched as ocean-to-table.
Beyond meals, the offer includes 15% off selected treatments at the Shine Spa, plus the usual island line-up — kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling on the house reef and a tennis court. If your idea of a festive break is trading turkey for a paddleboard at sunrise, that's roughly the pitch.
Worth knowing: festive-period availability at Maldivian resorts tends to tighten early, and the November 15 booking deadline makes this a plan-ahead deal rather than a last-minute one. The resort is also on the larger side for the Maldives, which suits families and anyone who wants multiple restaurants rather than a barefoot boutique island with a single dining room. Travellers after quiet seclusion over the holidays might look at smaller islands instead, but for value during the priciest two weeks of the Maldivian calendar, this is one of the more complete packages around.
