The ultra-luxury cruise market is quietly stacking up 2027 voyages that cost more than a house. Hotellerie names you know from dry land — Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Aman — are all launching or expanding at sea, while expedition operators are selling months-long journeys from the Arctic to Antarctica.
At the very top sits Regent Seven Seas. Its 140-night World of Splendor voyage leaves Miami in January 2027 and calls at 71 ports across the Caribbean, Pacific, Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe before finishing in New York. Entry fares start at $91,499 per person; the Regent Suite runs $839,999 — $1.68 million for two. Silversea counters with a longer itinerary: 149 days aboard Silver Dawn, from Los Angeles to Copenhagen via 80 ports in 35 countries, from $111,800 per person. Both top suites are already waitlisted or priced accordingly.
Shorter (and cheaper) options lean on brand pedigree. Ritz-Carlton's Evrima does a seven-night Nice-to-Monte Carlo run via Portofino, Elba and Saint-Tropez from $10,500 per person. Four Seasons I, sailing since 2026, offers a seven-night Greek Isles itinerary from Athens to Istanbul starting at $31,500 per suite. Orient Express brings its rail-era glamour aboard Corinthian, which uses a hybrid sail system called SolidSail — a seven-night Sicily-and-Malta voyage starts at €38,500 per suite, and a 14-night Guerlain wellness crossing at €60,200.
Expedition is the other big story. Seabourn Venture's 94-day Pole to Pole Grand Expedition leaves Reykjavík in August 2027, covering more than 20,500 nautical miles from the High Arctic to Antarctica for roughly $104,999 per person. Selar runs a ten-day Arctic trip capped at 36 guests with wildlife photographer Florian Ledoux as guide, from €15,030 per person. Aman's first yacht, Amangati, launches in spring 2027 with just 47 suites, a two-storey spa, a Japanese garden and a marina deck — its inaugural season covers the Adriatic, Greek islands and Turkey before heading to the Caribbean. Crystal's 2027 world cruise with Abercrombie & Kent, Stories of the South Seas, starts at $69,000, and Explora Journeys adds a fifth ship in December 2027 while sending EXPLORA I to South America.
The takeaway: if a five-month world cruise feels like too much, the same operators now sell week-long entry points that still come with butlers, terraces and small guest counts. Book early — the best suites on the headline voyages tend to go first. Reported by Elite Traveler.
