Toronto taqueria Silent H, already famous for drawing the likes of LeBron James and Travis Kelce through its doors, is going international. Owners Patrick and Nader Marzouk have confirmed the brand's first location outside Canada, set to open in Manhattan on November 24, 2026, at 420 W 14th St — right on the seam between the West Village and Chelsea.

The restaurant is only three years old but has quickly become a King West institution, thanks to a formula that pairs Mexican food with a party that never really winds down. It's the kind of place that shows up on every 'best tacos in Toronto' shortlist, whether the list-maker is a local food writer or an NBA star in town for a game.

The New York kitchen will be led by Chef Gerardo Álvarez Saucedo, building a menu around Mexican street food made with premium ingredients. Behind the bar, Beverage Director Spencer Gooderham is putting together a cocktail program that takes cues from Mexico's varied regions, aiming for polished mixology rather than your standard margarita lineup.

Patrick Marzouk framed the move as more than a second address. 'Bringing Silent H to New York is a defining moment for us,' he said, describing the brand as something built to go beyond dining — a mix of food, culture and people coming together. Taking it to Manhattan, he added, is a chance to show what they created in Canada to an international crowd.

Why it matters: the traffic usually flows the other way. New York restaurants opening outposts in Toronto is a familiar story; a Toronto hospitality brand cracking the Manhattan market is rare — and doing it now, with cross-border business feeling trickier than usual, makes the bet bolder. For travellers, it's also a genuine win-win: a new dinner-and-nightlife option in one of NYC's most walkable food neighbourhoods, and proof that the city's dining scene is exporting as well as importing.

If you find yourself in Chelsea or the West Village after late November 2026, Silent H NYC could be worth a table — especially if you like your tacos with a soundtrack.
