Capital One is marking three years of its Venture X Business card with a limited-time perk for people who already have it. Eligible cardholders can earn up to $500 in Capital One Business Travel credits after spending $3,000 on bookings made through the Capital One Business Travel platform by December 15.

The catch, if you can call it that, is that all $3,000 of spend has to go through Capital One's own booking platform — bookings made directly with airlines or hotels won't count. And the offer only applies to accounts opened before September 27, 2026, so brand-new applicants aren't eligible for this particular credit.

The timing is smart for small business owners. Late in the year is when many companies are locking in flights for year-end meetings or early-2027 offsites, so putting that existing travel budget through the platform could stack up nicely. Cardholders also earn boosted rewards on those bookings: 5 miles per dollar on flights and vacation rentals, and 10 miles per dollar on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel. In practice, the same money you'd have spent anyway earns you both miles and a path to the $500 credit.

The promo lands on top of the card's standing benefits, which are worth remembering if you hold it. There's a $300 annual travel credit through the same platform, 10,000 bonus miles every account anniversary, at least 2 miles per dollar on everything else, and access to Capital One's lounges and Capital One Landings. Points transfer to more than 15 airline and hotel partners, with Air Canada Aeroplan and Singapore KrisFlyer among the standouts for premium cabin redemptions. Book four nights or more at select Premier and Lifestyle Collection hotels through the platform and the fourth night is free.

For anyone who doesn't have the card yet, the standard welcome offer is 150,000 bonus miles after spending $30,000 in the first three months — which TPG's October 2026 valuations peg at around $2,775 in value. That's a hefty spend requirement, so it really only makes sense if your business outgoings can hit it naturally.

Who should care about this one? Existing Venture X Business holders with travel to book before mid-December. If you were going to buy those flights and hotels anyway, routing them through Capital One Business Travel turns routine spend into a $500 credit — an effective rebate worth up to roughly 17% on the qualifying amount, before you even count the miles. If your travel plans don't reach $3,000 by December 15, don't force it; the value only works when the spend was already on the cards. Everyone else can wait for the next anniversary-style promotion, which Capital One seems willing to run.

Check the offer details in your Capital One account before booking, as eligibility and terms can vary by account.
