Dubai's biggest wildlife day out is back for another year. Dubai Safari Park has launched its eighth season, opening its gates daily from 9am to 6pm at its site in Al Warqa 5, on the city's eastern edge.
The numbers alone make it one of the larger animal parks in the region: more than 3,000 creatures across 300 species, spread over six themed zones that each take a different angle on wildlife. If walking the zones isn't enough, the park runs two safari tours that take you closer to the animals, plus over 15 hands-on animal encounters and three live presentations a day where keepers talk visitors through the residents.
Season 8 arrives with the tagline "Live More Wild Life" and is timed neatly for the October school break, which runs from October 12 to 18 in Dubai. That makes it an obvious pick for families hunting for an outdoor alternative to the usual malls and soft-play venues during the last stretch of hot-adjacent weather before winter properly sets in.
Tickets start from Dhs50 (roughly £10 or $14), which is a fair price for a full-day outing of this scale — expect to spend several hours if you want to cover the zones, catch a presentation and fit in a safari tour. Bookings and details are on the park's website, dubaisafari.ae.
Why it matters for travellers: if you're visiting Dubai with kids between October and spring, this is one of the few full-day attractions that gets you outside and away from the glitz, and the entry price undercuts most of the city's bigger theme parks by a wide margin. Arrive early — the animals are livelier in the morning cool, and the park empties out noticeably by late afternoon.
