One of Dubai's most recognisable spots is swapping parachutes for a sound system. On Saturday, November 7, Skydive Dubai near Dubai Marina hosts an open-air night of house music, with six DJs on the bill and tickets starting at Dhs125.
The event comes from Deep House Bible, a house music platform with an unlikely origin story. It began as small parties thrown by three college friends in Boston and has since grown into a global brand with editions in Portugal, Morocco, Costa Rica, Brazil, New York and Miami. Its core idea hasn't changed much along the way: everyone deserves to dance. For the Dubai edition, the platform has teamed up with Studio A, the outfit behind Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience, Be Beach and WHITE Beach — names that carry some weight on the city's party calendar.
The lineup leans deliberately towards the MENA region. Headlining is Ahmed Spins, born in Casablanca, whose blend of Afro House, Deep House, Disco and organic sounds has already taken him to Coachella, Circoloco and Voodoo Village. He's joined by South African DJ Desiree, Egyptian duo Gawdat, and Mayssa, a Miami-based DJ and vocalist. Belgian producer Samm adds mainstream house credentials — his track Body Language topped Beatport's House chart — while UAE-based Alex Twin rounds things out. Expect the night to move between Deep House, Afro House and everything adjacent.
That regional focus isn't accidental. Deep House Bible has made a point of pushing artists and dance music from the Middle East and North Africa onto bigger global stages, so a Dubai party with a heavy MENA lineup fits the brief. Setting it at Skydive Dubai, with open air and a Marina backdrop, gives it a bit more scale than your average club night.
Practical details: doors are at 7pm on Saturday, November 7, with tickets sold through Platinumlist from Dhs125. Given the platform's track record of sell-outs elsewhere and the modest entry price, booking ahead seems sensible.
For travellers, this is a decent excuse to time a Dubai trip for early November. The weather has cooled enough for an all-night outdoor event, the Marina location puts you near plenty of hotels and restaurants, and the ticket price leaves room in the budget for everything else the city does well. If you're already there that weekend, this is one of the stronger music options on the calendar — a different side of Dubai than the malls and rooftops.
