Ras Al Khaimah's most anticipated resort just added another headline feature. Wynn Al Marjan Island, the huge development taking shape on Al Marjan Island ahead of a 2027 opening, will come with its own superyacht marina — and it's being pitched as the biggest hotel-attached marina in the UAE.
Wynn Marina will sit at the centre of the resort, with 98 wet berths arranged around a circular harbour. It's designed to handle vessels up to 85 metres, which means super and megayachts can moor right on the doorstep. Because the harbour is circular, it becomes part of the scenery too — visible from guest rooms, restaurants, terraces and the walkways around the resort rather than tucked out of sight.
The arrival experience is the interesting bit. Guests sailing in will be able to check in to the resort from their yacht and walk straight in — no shuttle, no lobby detour. At the centre of the harbour sits The Capitainerie, which will handle arrivals, marina operations, concierge services and support for captains and crew. IGY Marinas, a major name in marina management, will run operations, covering everything from provisioning and transport to restaurant bookings and parties on board.
You don't need a yacht to make use of any of this. A waterfront promenade will be open to resort guests and visitors, with spots to dine by the harbour and watch the boats come and go. The resort's Marina and Ocean Estates residences will front the water, and the space is expected to host events — up to and including wedding arrivals by yacht.
The marina is the latest piece of the Wynn Al Marjan Island puzzle to be revealed before the resort opens in 2027. The property has been drawing attention largely because it's set to house the UAE's first regulated gaming floor, putting Ras Al Khaimah in direct competition with Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the region's big-spending visitors. The superyacht infrastructure adds another layer to that pitch — this is a resort designed to capture the luxury end of the market from every direction: air, road and now sea.
For travellers, the marina itself matters in two ways. If you charter in the Gulf, it opens up a new destination with serious berthing capacity — handy given how crowded marinas can get around Dubai during peak season. And if you don't, the promenade and harbour dining mean the waterfront becomes part of the everyday resort experience rather than something reserved for boat owners. Either way, Ras Al Khaimah's Al Marjan Island is quietly becoming one of the most interesting corners of the UAE to watch over the next couple of years.
