Dubai's restaurant scene rarely sits still, and this month it's gone into overdrive. A wave of chef collaborations, one-night dinners and pop-up festivals is rolling through the city through early November — and several of the best ones still have seats left.
The headline act for fine-dining fans is Khufu's x Jun's on Sunday October 25. Chef Mostafa Seif, whose Cairo restaurant Khufu's tops MENA's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list, joins Kelvin Cheung at Jun's on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard for a one-night tasting menu (Dhs550) built around culture, memory and place. A few nights earlier, on Friday October 23, there are two strong options: REIF Japanese Kushiyaki and Chôm Chôm team up for an eight-course dinner at Chôm Chôm in Al Barsha (Dhs388), where the host chef gets free rein over the final two dishes; and Sofitel chefs Daniel Hillier and Russell Impiazzi cook a four-hands French-heritage dinner at Porterhouse Bar & Grill on Palm Jumeirah, with haggis Scotch eggs, dry-aged steak tartare and seabass with lobster cassoulet (Dhs325, or Dhs535 with wine).
If live fire is more your thing, Tuesday October 27 brings Coolab Vol. 8 to Hadrien Villedeau's Chez Wam at The St. Regis Gardens, where five chefs join forces with the team from Aatish on a smoke-heavy menu — think sizzling prawns with smoked garlic butter and a T-Rex bone marrow cheeseburger with masala fries, at Dhs350 per head.
Prefer something slower? DRIFT at One&Only Royal Mirage is running Culinary Fridays on October 23 and 30, with a seafood market and catch of the day from chef Yassine Riahi. Six oysters and a glass of wine will set you back Dhs99, and the caviar pasta is the dish to order.
Big names and big screens close out the month. Michael Mina returns to his own MINA Brasserie at Four Seasons DIFC for five nights from October 30 to November 4, cooking off-menu creations and meeting guests in the dining room. The same night, the Riviera Cinema Club at The Lana screens Beauty and the Beast alongside a film-inspired menu (Dhs650), with Pretty Woman and The Devil Wears Prada following in November. And over at Alserkal Avenue, the What The Food festival returns on October 31 and November 1 — free entry, with talks from Mayrig founder Aline Kamakian and storyteller Nadir Nahdi, plus olive oil and porcelain workshops and kids' cookie decorating.
For anyone planning a Dubai trip this autumn, this is a rare chance to catch a No.1-ranked regional chef, a celebrity American chef and a string of four-hands dinners in a single week. Bookings mostly run through SevenRooms or the restaurants' own sites, and the one-night events will sell out fast — the Khufu's collaboration in particular is a tick-box moment for serious food travellers.
