If your holiday plans involve hunting down rare Pokémon pulls or haggling over vintage Magic: The Gathering stock, Singapore has an unusually busy few months ahead. A wave of card shows and conventions runs from late October 2026 through to April 2027, ranging from free weekend markets to a six-figure auction, and many are within walking distance of MRT stations.
The biggest date on the calendar is the CAPS Cardshow at Singapore EXPO on 31 October and 1 November, billed as one of the city's largest TCG events. More than 450 vendors will trade across 12 categories covering Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and more, plus a dedicated sports card zone — reportedly the first in Singapore. There's a 128-player Riftbound (League of Legends) tournament each day, and a $29.90 VIP option that bundles a limited-edition promo card and grading vouchers. Entry itself is free with registration.
Just down the road, Card Kampung runs the same weekend at The Cathay with a free shuttle from EXPO. It's run by Oxley Grading, Singapore's first TCG grading provider, and leans towards first-time vendors. Keep an eye out for the hidden 'Coconut Kids' for extra lucky draw entries — prizes include Pokémon 30th Celebration packs.
For something more exclusive, Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's hosts Pokémon of Lion City, its first Singapore-based TCG auction, at The Vault at Frasers House on 30 October. Around 75 lots of premium and vintage material are up for grabs — think 1st-Edition Fossil booster packs and the Ancient Mew promo card. Online bidding is already live, with the top bid reportedly sitting at $160,000.
Other highlights: the Asia Cards & Collectible Expo stretches across six weekends at Suntec City from 24 October (free entry, plus a Beyblade tournament), SG Collectibles & Card Show runs themed Halloween, Black Friday and Christmas editions at Perennial Business City, and the NEXUS TCG Tradeshow takes over The Centrepoint most weekends before a Suntec show in January 2027. Award Collectibles, a fixture near Havelock MRT, hosts a paid Halloween trade night on 30 October from $10. December brings two heavyweights: Singapore Comic Con on 5-6 December at Marina Bay Sands (from $38, or payable with SG Culture Pass credits) and SG Card World at EXPO, where over 550 vendors and 30,000 visitors are expected.
Why should a traveller care? Almost all these shows are free to enter, held over weekends, and easy to slot into a city break — most venues sit on or near major MRT lines at Suntec, Orchard, Outram and the EXPO area. Even if you're not a collector, the atmosphere, artist stalls and tournaments make for a fun few hours, and it's a peek into one of Asia's most enthusiastic TCG communities.
