Luxury cruise line Seabourn has rolled out a new promotion called the Explore Beyond Event, and the headline number is a big one: up to $2,000 in shipboard credit per suite on select sailings departing between 2026 and 2029.
The catch is timing. The offer only applies to new bookings made between September 23 and November 16, 2026, and it's limited to select markets — the U.S., Canada and Australia among them. Book within that window and the credit applies to a range of itineraries across the line's 2027 and 2028 programme and beyond.
So what would you actually spend the credit on? Quite a lot. Seabourn is pointing guests toward its shore excursions, spa treatments, boutique shopping, private guided tours and culinary experiences. The itineraries being pushed with this deal lean heavily on the Mediterranean, where Seabourn's 2027 and 2028 seasons get top billing. Two signature experiences stand out. One is Evening at Ephesus, a private concert held after dark among the ancient ruins of Ephesus in Turkey — genuinely one of the more memorable evenings you can have on any cruise. The other is Shopping with the Chef, which takes guests to local markets with the ship's culinary team and turns the ingredients into a cooking experience. Beyond the marquee names, the Mediterranean sailings mix iconic stops with smaller ports the big ships can't reach.
The offer isn't Mediterranean-only, though. Eligible voyages also span Northern Europe, Alaska, the Arctic, Antarctica, and Canada and New England — so whether you're after glaciers or Greek islands, there's likely a qualifying sailing.
Why it matters: Seabourn runs intimate, yacht-style ships with a high crew-to-guest ratio, and that style of cruising doesn't come cheap. A shipboard credit of up to $2,000 effectively subsidises the extras that usually inflate the final bill — excursions, spa days, premium Wi-Fi — which is where expedition and ultra-luxury fares tend to balloon.
