The Hoxton is finally coming to the Middle East. Ennismore has signed The Hoxton, Dubai Media City, the brand's first UAE property, and it's bringing something new with it: the Hoxton's first-ever wellness club.
The hotel will occupy a reimagined existing building in Dubai Media City, the district packed with media companies, studios and digital startups, and framed by Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Lake Towers. Interiors come from AIME Studios, Ennismore's in-house design team, covering 230 guest rooms in the brand's usual layered, residential style, plus the signature open lobby where locals and guests mingle over comfort food and pop-up events.
Food is where this property gets interesting. Paris Society, the F&B group behind several of Dubai's most in-demand restaurants and nightlife spots, is curating the line-up. Expect Onaka, a Japanese handroll bar created with award-winning French restaurateur Moïse Sfez; Bleachers, a playful social sports bar; Il Bambini Club, the trattoria already running in London, Paris and Cape Town; and Tope, the Mexican-inspired rooftop that's proven popular in Barcelona, Portland and Brussels.
The headline feature, though, is the wellness club — a first for the Hoxton brand. Conceived as a social space as much as a fitness one, it will include a large gym floor, movement studios, spa treatment rooms, contrast therapy facilities, a members' lounge and a healthy café called Beaum. The idea is that hotel guests and Dubai locals share the space, keeping with the brand's community-first approach.
For travellers, this is a genuinely different option in a city dominated by glossy mega-resorts. The Hoxton's whole appeal is neighbourhood energy — lobby hangouts, local collaborations, restaurants people actually queue for — and Media City is a smart spot for it: walkable to Marina beaches, a short hop to the Palm, and close to the more everyday side of Dubai that tourists rarely see.
The signing is also part of a bigger Ennismore push. The group already runs more than 70 hotels across the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa — over 23,000 rooms — including Delano Dubai, 25hours One Central and Mama Shelter Dubai, with Mondrian Abu Dhabi and Rixos Dubai Islands on the way. A Hoxton in Dubai slots neatly into that growth story, and follows recent Hoxton signings in Bengaluru and Melbourne.
No opening date has been confirmed yet, but anyone who loves the Hoxton's London, Paris or Amsterdam outposts — or simply wants a design-led, sociable base in Dubai without the resort-flag-waving — should keep this one on the radar.
