Toronto's late-autumn calendar just filled up fast, with five updates worth texting your group chat about — from festive markets to a hotly anticipated restaurant opening.

First, sushi fans have a date for the diary. Hello Nori, the brand with ingredients sourced from Canada and Japan and a sculptural wood ceiling over warm, West Coast-inspired interiors, opens its third Toronto location at 1250 Bay St. in Yorkville on Nov. 6, 2026. It's a wait, but the Yorkville address should make it an easy stop on a shopping day.

Closer at hand, St. Lawrence Market's Winter Market returns for its third year. From Nov. 19 to Dec. 22, the stretch outside the market becomes an open-air showcase of local vendors and festive entertainment. It runs Thursdays to Sundays, with two bonus days tacked on: Monday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Dec. 22 — handy for last-minute gift runs in the final stretch before Christmas.

If outdoor stalls sound too chilly, the Ritz-Carlton has you covered. Its European-inspired holiday market is back at EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace from Nov. 5 to Dec. 30, complete with retail vendors and artisans, festive food, confectionery, seasonal drinks and plenty of seasonal décor. It's essentially indoor gift-shopping with cocktails attached, which is a strong formula.

There's a weather footnote, too: before the festive season ramps up, Toronto is in for one unseasonably warm day this week, with Thursday forecast to hit 21°C. The catch is rain, so it's a bittersweet gift right before Halloween.

Rounding out the news, Wellness Republic opens Nov. 2 inside a 1918 heritage building at 488 Wellington St. W. It's pitched as the city's newest "third space," offering Reformer and Mat Pilates, yoga, red light and infrared-heated classes, plus contrast therapy and IV wellness. A café and co-working lounge mean members can realistically spend a whole day there.

Why it matters for travellers: if you're visiting Toronto between early November and the end of December, the city has quietly stacked the season with things to do. The Ritz-Carlton market and St. Lawrence's Winter Market make a good one-two of festive browsing in the downtown core, and both are within walking distance of King Street West, where the new wellness spot could double as a morning Pilates session before a day of sightseeing. Book Hello Nori into next year's plans — a Yorkville dinner reservation pairs nicely with the upscale Bloor-Yorkville shopping strip nearby.
