Toronto's Ossington Avenue has built a reputation for bars, restaurants and late nights. Soon it will also be home to something quieter: a geodesic dome made of golden, tea-tinted glass, tucked behind a wellness clinic and designed for immersive therapy sessions.

The structure, called the Intraspective Imaginarium, sits in the backyard of Mindful Maelstrom Wellness Clinic at 91 Ossington Ave. It opens officially on October 30, 2026, created by registered psychotherapist Kristina Dragnea. Sessions cap out at six participants, which keeps things intimate — this is the opposite of a stadium-scale immersive art installation.

The idea behind the dome is to move therapy beyond the standard chair-and-couch format. Dragnea's approach, the Intraspective Method, blends psychology, neuroscience, storytelling, symbolism and embodied exploration — essentially using the physical space to help people experience their emotions rather than just talk them through. "We have become very good at understanding ourselves intellectually," she says, framing the dome as a place to go deeper than analysis.

Launch day details are worth noting for the curious. At 6 p.m. the clinic unveils a 16-foot pink neon sign — a striking contrast to the golden dome behind it — and visitors can walk through the finished space. Registration also opens that evening for Thursday drop-in dome sessions, open to everyone and running through the fall.

Why should a traveller care? Ossington is already one of Toronto's most walked strips for an evening out, and this adds a genuinely unusual daytime or early-evening option: a drop-in session inside a glowing golden dome before dinner a few doors down. Wellness tourism keeps growing, but most of it looks the same — spas, saunas, sound baths. A six-person therapeutic dome on a bar street is not something you'll find in most city guides, and it makes a good anchor for a slower, restorative kind of city break.

If you're planning a Toronto trip around it, pair the dome with the neighbourhood's usual strengths. Ossington sits between Queen West and Dundas West, both packed with independent shops and some of the city's best restaurants. Come for a Thursday session, stay for the street. The drop-in format means no long-term commitment is needed — you can book a single evening and see if the experience is for you.

One caveat: as with any newly opened attraction, check the clinic's schedule before building a trip around it, since drop-in availability and pricing will be confirmed at registration.
