Montego Bay's adults-only all-inclusive scene gets a glossy new entry just in time for winter. JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar reopens on December 1 after a full property-wide renovation, becoming the second resort in the Caribbean to carry Iberostar's JOIA brand.

The transformation touches all 295 suites, plus the lobby, poolside terraces and beachfront areas, with interiors designed alongside Barcelona architecture and design studio El Equipo Creativo — think natural textures, tropical prints and Jamaican design cues throughout. Room categories range from Swim-up Suites with direct pool access to Butler Suites and Penthouse Suites, all with private terraces and 24-hour room service.

Food is a big part of the relaunch. Oriole is the signature beachfront restaurant, built around Jamaican classics and Caribbean flavours. There's also GAIA House of Grill, a French brasserie-style venue called Chez Charlie, and Zázá, a Southeast Asian concept developed with chef Erik Bruner-Yang.

Drinks get star billing too. Giacomo Giannotti — the bartender behind Barcelona's Paradiso, consistently ranked among The World's 50 Best Bars — has created a botanical cocktail menu for the resort, including a signature drink made with sorrel, the hibiscus classic beloved across the Caribbean. A Palm Tropical Lounge and a Rum Bar & Theatre round out the line-up.

Beyond the suites and bars, the resort has four pools (including an infinity pool) with a dedicated Pool Concierge, and a beach strip where you can kayak, snorkel or head out on a catamaran. It sits inside Iberostar's three-property Rose Hall complex, next to Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach — handy if you're travelling with family who'd rather stay elsewhere on site.

There's a loyalty angle worth knowing as well: thanks to Iberostar's alliance with IHG, eligible stays earn IHG One Rewards points, and points can be redeemed for Reward Nights here. If you've been hoarding points, this is a decent place to spend them.

For couples and friend groups eyeing a warm-weather escape this winter, the timing works: a freshly renovated adults-only option in Montego Bay, right as peak Caribbean season kicks off. December 1 is the date to circle.
