Aman is better known for remote resorts than ships, but its first vessel — the 600-foot Amangati — is taking shape at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa. The yacht enters service in May 2027 with a Mediterranean season, then crosses the Atlantic for a full Caribbean winter that's just been announced.

From 21 November 2027 to 20 March 2028, Amangati will run 19 voyages of five to eight nights each, departing from Saint John's. The schedule splits into two blocks. Autumn sailings loop through the Leeward Islands, Windward Islands and Dutch Caribbean, with stops that include the Pitons, the shallows off Anguilla and the uninhabited Tobago Cays. Festive-season travellers can pick up a seven-night Bridgetown-to-Saint John's sailing that ends with a New Year's party at a private resort on Nevis.

The winter season, from 2 January to 20 March, pushes west into the Greater Antilles for the first time, with maiden calls in the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and the Grenadines. Standout stops include the jungle around Cap Cana, the volcanic slopes above Saint-Pierre in Martinique, and the coral gardens off Kralendijk in Bonaire.

Onboard, it's classic Aman rather than classic cruise. There are just 47 suites across nine decks, from 731 to a whopping 3,811 square feet, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies, and interiors modelled on Japanese ryokans. Facilities include four restaurants, a jazz club, a cinema, a beach club, an Aman Spa and a large aft pool. Logistics are handled with superyacht flair: two helipads and six tenders for shore runs, plus a suite host for every cabin and concierge-planned bespoke excursions.

Worth noting: even Caribbean mega-yachts of this calibre stay small in guest numbers, so expect an intimate, resort-at-sea feel rather than entertainment-packed mega-ship vibes. Bookings and enquiries go through Aman at Sea directly.
