A new targeted Amex Offer could save Marriott guests a chunk of change this winter: spend $375 or more with Marriott and get a $150 statement credit. That's a solid 40% back, and since it stacks with Marriott's own promotions, it's one of the better hotel deals to surface in the Amex Offers program recently.
Not every cardholder will see it — Amex Offers are targeted, so the first step is checking your card accounts and registering if the deal appears. Once enrolled, the offer applies to stays paid for between October 23 and November 23, 2026, at properties in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
The fine print matters here. The deal only works when you book directly with Marriott, and it rules out a long list of the company's upscale brands: Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, JW Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club, Design Hotels, Protea, Marriott Executive Apartments, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy and Vistana are all excluded. In practice, that means the offer shines at mainstream Marriott properties — Courtyards, Sheratons, Westins, Fairfield Inns and the like — which is where plenty of road-trippers and city-break travellers end up staying anyway.
A few other exclusions to keep in mind: gift card purchases, online retail purchases and buying Bonvoy points won't trigger the credit. The spend has to be on an eligible hotel stay, charged within the promotional window.
There are a couple of easy ways to squeeze more value out of the deal. If the offer lands on a co-branded Marriott credit card, you can earn bonus Bonvoy points on the stay and pocket the statement credit at the same time. Failing that, putting it on a card that earns extra on travel keeps the rewards healthy. And if you're chasing a spending threshold on a particular card, hotels will usually split the bill across two cards at check-out — just ask.
For anyone with an Amex in their wallet and a Marriott stay on the horizon in North America or the Caribbean, this is worth two minutes of your time: log in, check your offers, and register before spending. Statement credits like this don't come around as often as they used to, especially for the big hotel chains, so if your account is targeted, it's a straightforward $150 off a trip you were probably taking anyway.
