Bilt has lined up a strong October 1 Rent Day, and the headline act is brand new. Amtrak Guest Rewards only became a Bilt transfer partner on September 23, and already there's a transfer bonus of up to 125% — the first chance to squeeze real value out of the partnership.

The regular Amtrak rate is 2 Bilt points per Amtrak point, which works out to roughly 1.33 cents in train travel per Bilt point. The October 1 bonus changes that picture depending on your Bilt tier: Blue members get 25%, Silver 50%, Gold 75%, Platinum 100%, and Platinum members who spend $400 Bilt Cash to buy up get the full 125%. At the top end, 10,000 Bilt points become 11,250 Amtrak points — worth around $300 in rail travel. The bonus applies to the first 100,000 points transferred per member.

The maths is worth a moment. A Platinum transferring at 1:1 gets about 2.67 cents per Bilt point in train value; with the paid upgrade that rises to roughly 3 cents. Whether the $400 Bilt Cash buy-up makes sense depends on what else you'd do with it — at a maximum transfer, moving up a tier only adds about 12,500 Amtrak points, or roughly $333 in travel. Amtrak points shine on Northeast Corridor routes and sleeper compartments on long-haul trains like the California Zephyr, and Acela first class upgrade coupons start at just 2,500 points within 12 hours of departure.

Hilton is offering up to a 200% transfer bonus, but honestly, the status match is the better hook. Hilton points are worth about 0.4 cents each, so even a doubled transfer yields only around 1.2 cents per Bilt point — less than Bilt's own travel portal. The real deal: transfer the minimum (just 1,000 Bilt points for Gold and Platinum members, 2,000 for Blue) on October 1 and receive instant Hilton status through December 31, 2026. Platinum members get Diamond outright; a Gold member who pays $200 Bilt Cash to buy up a tier would also land Diamond. There's also a fast-track challenge — 12 qualifying nights in 90 days locks in or retains Diamond through 2027.

If neither program tempts you, Bilt's broader lineup probably will. Transfer partners now span every major alliance — Aeroplan, Turkish, United, British Airways, Air France KLM, Qatar and more — plus Hyatt, Marriott, IHG, Emirates, Southwest and Accor, most at 1:1.

If you ride Amtrak at all, this is one of the better point-transfer windows this fall — and a 1,000-point Hilton transfer for Diamond status through late 2026 is an easy win for anyone with hotel stays booked before year-end.
