One of Providenciales' better-value stays is getting a big-brand boost. Ports of Call Resort, a 103-room property in the middle of Grace Bay Village, has joined Tapestry Collection by Hilton — Hilton's boutique-leaning brand that keeps each hotel's individual character while plugging it into a global reservations machine.
For travellers, the practical upside is Hilton Honors. Anyone holding points can now earn and redeem at a resort that was previously a fully independent operation, and members booking through Hilton channels get member rates plus app features like digital check-in and room selection. It's a rare chance to burn points in a destination where most accommodation is high-end and full-price.
Location is the selling point here. Ports of Call sits steps from Grace Bay Beach's restaurant and shopping strip, with dedicated beach access, a pool, a fitness centre and a business centre. Rooms run to 50-inch TVs, walk-in glass showers, coffeemakers and either mini or full fridges — solid spec for a property long considered a quiet alternative to the big beachfront resorts.
More polish is on the way. Over the next year the resort will upgrade its lobby, fitness centre and other shared areas, staying open throughout the work. This follows a $2 million refurbishment finished in 2023 that redid 70 rooms, refreshed the breakfast area and heated the pool, on top of an earlier round completed in 2020. Mahakali Hospitality Management stays on as manager, with Leela Construction and Eugene Engineering Designs handling the renovation.
The move is part of a wider Hilton push in the Caribbean — the brand's Tapestry flag already flies over beachfront Delfins Beach Resort in Bonaire — and lands amid steady hotel growth on Providenciales, where new rooms and brands keep arriving. For a familiar independent hotel to join one of the world's largest hospitality groups signals where Turks and Caicos is heading: more choice, more loyalty-programme play, and rising competition for Grace Bay's stretch of sand.
