Grand Hyatt fans have a decision to make late next year. Hyatt has confirmed three new Grand properties — on Grand Cayman, in Cancún and in Los Cabos — all slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, and two of them will run as all-inclusives.
The most intriguing of the trio may be Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa, set at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach and only about 10 minutes from Owen Roberts International Airport. Hyatt is promising oceanfront pools, a spa and several restaurants, with snorkelling, swimming and paddleboarding on the doorstep. What stands out is the accommodation spread: oceanfront suites, some with kitchens and terraces, plus two-bedroom villas and even three-bedroom residences. That's a rare setup for Seven Mile Beach and makes the resort a contender for multigenerational trips as well as couples.
In Cancún, Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort lands in Puerto Cancún, a marina-side pocket of the hotel zone that feels a step removed from the spring-break strip. It will be all-inclusive, with rooms and suites carrying furnished balconies facing either the marina or the Caribbean. The category to keep an eye on is Sanctuary: rooms with private plunge pools, so you can cool off without heading down to the main pool. Wellness treatments and dining are being positioned as core to the experience rather than add-ons.
The third property heads to Mexico's Pacific coast. Grand Hyatt Los Cabos Resort, Golf & Spa is due in December 2026 inside the Oleada Pacific Living & Golf development, and it's the biggest by the numbers: 301 rooms and suites, 11 dining venues, six pools and an 18-hole championship course designed by Ernie Els. Among those 301 accommodations are 57 oceanfront suites and 42 swim-out rooms, plus dedicated kids' and teens' spaces — clearly aimed at families who want golf, sea and childcare options in one place.
Put together, these openings give holidaymakers a genuine three-way choice under one brand and loyalty programme: Caribbean beach and snorkelling on Grand Cayman, a plunge-pool all-inclusive on Cancún's marina-front, or a golf-and-spa escape on the Baja peninsula. If you collect World of Hyatt points or like the predictability of a Grand Hyatt, you'll soon have new options in destinations that, frankly, could use more high-end all-inclusive competition. Worth watching whether opening rates come in aggressive in the first few months — new resorts often do — and note that Q4 2026 openings can slip, so confirm dates before booking flights.
