Singapore's food court chain Kopitiam (the mall brand, not your neighbourhood coffeeshop) is running a three-region giveaway called the Kopitiam Makan Trail, and the merch is genuinely charming. Think hawker dishes turned into keycap clickers and collectible bag charms — peng kueh, laksa, ice kacang, satay, kaya butter toast, even soft-boiled eggs. Events run from late October through late November 2026, with different activities in the North, West and East.

The North is the craftiest of the three. Spend at least $15 across up to two same-day receipts and you get a DIY food-themed keycap keychain to build yourself — mini snacks with a satisfying click-clack mechanism to hang off your bag. Sessions run 24-25 October at AMK Hub and Sembawang Shopping Centre, then 31 October and 1 November at Sembawang MRT and the Bagus Food Hall in Northpoint City, all 12pm-8pm.

Westies get a sure-win lucky draw: $15 across up to three same-day receipts earns a coloured ball draw with prizes ranging from vouchers and drinks to blind bag keychains, portable fans, and the Kopitiam Everyday Pouch — a customisable phone sling that comes with two generic charms plus one exclusive. There are 18 designs to hunt, seven of them exclusive, featuring wanton mee, laksa and nasi lemak. Redemption weekends hit Keat Hong Market & Food Centre (24-25 Oct), JEM (31 Oct-1 Nov), Jurong Point and West Mall (7-8 Nov), and Yew Tee Square (14-15 Nov).

Over in the East, the same $15 minimum (across two same-day receipts) gets you a spin of the wheel for merch, vouchers, a stainless-steel vacuum flask, a mini Bluetooth speaker, or the Everyday Pouch with charms like ice kacang, satay and kaya butter toast. Six exclusive designs are split across individual outlets, with 11 generic ones to collect. Stops include Parkway Parade (23-24 Oct), Paya Lebar Square (30-31 Oct), Tampines Mall (6-7 Nov), Pasir Ris Mall (13-14 Nov) and Paya Lebar Quarter (20-21 Nov), each 12pm-8pm.

Everything is while stocks last, so early birds win. If you're visiting Singapore in late October or November, this is a fun, low-stakes addition to a day of eating: grab lunch at a participating food court, hit the redemption table, and leave with a tiny bak kwa-shaped souvenir instead of the usual fridge magnet. Just note the receipts must be from the same day and same region, and check which mall is hosting on your dates.
