Las Vegas' most eye-catching bar just changed its drink lineup. The Chandelier, the three-storey crystal-covered lounge inside The Cosmopolitan, has unveiled a new cocktail program from head of mixology Gedeon Tsegaye, built around the flavours of the changing seasons — fresh fruit, florals, herbs and warming spices combined in drinks that lean sophisticated rather than sugary.

The venue itself has had a refresh, so the experience now extends beyond the glass. Expect smoked glass presentations, house-made foams, aromatic airs and custom garnishes, all delivered under the bar's famous glittering shell. Tsegaye describes the concept as a layered experience that unfolds level by level, with each floor of the lounge getting its own personality — and its own signature serve.

On the Top Level, that drink is Lime in the Coconut, a rum number mixing Havana Club Añejo Rum with Manzanilla Sherry, pineapple, coconut and a salted lime foam. Level 1.5 goes tequila-led with Pineapple & Co., built on G4 Blanco Tequila, pineapple and lime cordial, Velvet Falernum, Suze Gentian and a hit of Angostura air. Down on the Casino Level, the pick is See a Peach Drink a Peach — Havana Club Añejo Blanco Rum, peach and citrus cordial and a splash of D.O.C. Prosecco.

Not picky about floors? Four drinks run across all three levels. The Espresso & Chicory O.F. pairs Buffalo Trace Bourbon with Ethiopian coffee, salted vanilla cold foam, chicory bitters and cocoa nibs — a grown-up answer to the espresso martini. There's also the house Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (vodka, cranberry, mandarin and lemon, naturally), the Rare Characters blending six-year single-barrel whiskey with Lo-Fi Gentian Vermouth and St. George Spiced Pear Fino Sherry, and the Butterfly-ing Forever, a smoky-sour mix of Tequila Ocho Blanco, Calenda Mezcal and butterfly yuzu emulsion.

For travellers, this is a good reason to treat The Chandelier as more than a photo stop on the Strip. The three-level setup means you can genuinely make an evening of it — start with something bright and refreshing down on the Casino Level, then move upward as the drinks get more experimental and the crowd shifts with the hours. It's a bar that rewards a slow crawl rather than a single round, and with four house signatures available everywhere, there's always a reliable fallback if a floor's specialty doesn't match your taste.

It also slots neatly into a broader Vegas pattern: the city's hotel bars increasingly compete on genuine cocktail craft rather than sheer spectacle, and The Cosmopolitan has long been one of the properties taking that seriously. If you're already booked into the hotel, or staying anywhere along the central Strip, an hour or two here before dinner is an easy add — dress smart-casual, expect busy evenings, and consider going early or on a weeknight if you want a seat with a clear view of the crystal.

Whether you're a sherry-in-your-rum enthusiast or just here for the sparkle, the new menu gives the lounge a fresh reason to be on your Vegas list.
