Adults-only cruise line Virgin Voyages is running a short-window booking deal for its 2027 season: up to $400 in onboard credit, which the brand calls Sailor Loot, on selected Mediterranean, Alaska and Transatlantic departures. The offer covers 58 sailings leaving between May and October 2027, and the credit scales with the cabin you book.

The headline itinerary is a 10-night Mediterranean run from Barcelona to Athens, where suite bookings pick up the full $400 credit and Sea Terrace cabins get $100. A 7-night Adriatic sailing taking in Albania and Greece earns suites $300 and Sea Terraces $50, and the same tiering applies to a 7-night Alaska route through the Inside Passage and glacial fjords.

The credit is flexible once you're aboard. It can go towards Shore Things (the line's shore excursions), spa treatments, speciality drinks and retail purchases — the kind of extras that otherwise add up quickly on a cruise.

Timing matters here. The Sailor Loot offer applies to new bookings made between October 1 and 8, 2026, and it can be stacked with Virgin Voyages' Instant Savings Event, which runs until November 2, 2026. That wider promotion delivers up to £750 off plus 70% off the fare of the second guest. In practice, booking in that early-October window means upfront savings plus spending money onboard, rather than choosing between the two.

Much of the announcement is pitched at travel agents — Virgin's UK Market Director SJ Walker frames October as a chance for agents to sell 2027 trips early, and agents earn £5 per eligible booking through the First Mate Loot incentive platform in October. But the substance is genuinely useful for passengers too: book early, combine the two promotions, and you're effectively getting a few hundred dollars of excursions, spa time or drinks covered on top of a discounted fare.

It's also worth remembering what Virgin Voyages includes as standard, since the line makes a point of it: dining across more than 20 eateries, Wi-Fi, group fitness classes and entertainment are all part of the fare. That inclusion-heavy model is a big part of how these credit offers stack up in real terms — the Sailor Loot is on top of a base fare that already skips a lot of the nickel-and-diming common elsewhere at sea.

If a 2027 summer in the Med or an Alaska glacier season is on your list, the week-long booking window in early October 2026 is the moment to move. Waiting until closer to departure almost certainly means losing the credit and the Instant Savings discount, both of which are tied to new bookings in that period.
