Atlantis Paradise Island is treating the turn of the year like a festival rather than a single night. The Bahamas mega-resort has booked two headline concerts across three days to mark the arrival of 2027: Andrea Bocelli on New Year's Eve and Alex Warren two days later.
Bocelli's set, billed as "An Unforgettable Evening Under the Stars," lands on December 31 on The Royal Deck — an open-air stage framed by the resort's Royal Towers, with a midnight fireworks show closing out the night. The Italian tenor is a five-time Grammy winner with more than 90 million albums sold across four decades, so this is a genuinely big booking rather than a placeholder act. It's also a notable contrast to last year's edition, which featured DJ duo Two Friends with Ariana Madix hosting.
The party doesn't stop at midnight. On January 2, pop singer-songwriter Alex Warren takes over Casuarina Beach, the beachfront venue that has quietly become one of the Caribbean's go-to concert stages. Warren arrives off the back of his hit "Ordinary" and his recently released second album, WILDCHILD. The venue's recent resume includes Cyndi Lauper this past summer, plus John Legend, Janet Jackson and Maroon 5 in previous years.
The concerts are part of a deliberate push by Atlantis to build its calendar into a reason to visit in itself. Beyond the usual drawcards — Aquaventure water park, the sprawling marine habitats, the casino and Paradise Beach — the resort has been stacking up events like the Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival earlier this year. The strategy is working: instead of being a resort that happens to host entertainment, Atlantis is positioning itself as a Caribbean entertainment destination, full stop.
For anyone planning a New Year's week in the Bahamas, the appeal goes beyond the music. Days can fill up with waterslides and aquariums at Aquaventure, afternoons on the beach, dinners across one of the region's deepest restaurant line-ups and evenings wandering Marina Village. Accommodation spans the family-focused Coral to the more grown-up Cove and the residential-style Reef, with the resort recently adding an Imperial Club tier inside The Royal's East Tower for guests wanting a premium option.
