October marks the moment Dubai's social calendar switches back on. The summer heat eases, the big outdoor attractions unlock their gates, and a stack of new venues open their doors — so if you're planning a city break this autumn, the timing is on your side.
Theme park fans get the best news first: Dubai Parks and Resorts reopens on October 7, 2026, bringing back MOTIONGATE Dubai, Real Madrid World, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort and The World of Riverland. Riverland has two fresh additions — a bowling venue and Lamborghini racing simulators. A day later, on October 8, Dubai Miracle Garden reopens with its 150 million-plus flowers spread over 72,000 square metres, including the famous life-sized Emirates A380 covered in blooms. Entry is Dhs100 for adults and Dhs80 for kids aged three to 12. Global Village follows on October 14 with its 31st season, running through to May 2027, and Dubai Safari Park kicks off Season 8 on October 12 with its 3,000 animals across a 119-hectare site.
The live music line-up is unusually packed. Dubai Opera hosts a Queen tribute fronted by Freddie Mercury lookalike Pablo Padín (October 5), The Amy Winehouse Band led by her longtime musical director Dale Davis (October 8, from Dhs300) and Gipsy Kings founder André Reyes with a full symphony orchestra on October 22. Nineties boy band Blue bring their 25th-anniversary tour to Expo City on October 25, while Coca-Cola Arena welcomes Lebanese stars Najwa Karam (October 2) and Nancy Ajram (October 24), plus Bollywood singer Shaan. New Delhi folk-metal outfit Bloodywood play Jubilee Park on October 24. The Dubai Comedy Festival also runs October 9 to 18, with more than 40 shows across the city.
Club-wise, the beachfront season launches hard: Carl Cox opens Pacha ICONS at FIVE LUXE JBR on October 9, Robin Schulz and Lost Frequencies play Bohemia at FIVE Palm Jumeirah, Sonny Fodera hits Playa Pacha on October 10, Black Coffee takes over Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour on October 24, and Adam Port closes the month on Halloween.
Food-first travellers have plenty to chase too. DIFC gains a Pan-Asian spot called Ay-Vy, all pink velvet and theatrical styling. 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant relocates from Downtown to a waterfront terrace at Address Creek Harbour in Dubai Creek Harbour. Beirut export Cyrano Maison Sociale lands in City Walk, serving everything from chorizo croquettes to steak au poivre from breakfast through late-night drinks. And homegrown café brand TRIO reopens its original Jumeirah drive-through as a full café on October 1.
Why it matters: October is effectively the start of Dubai's holiday season — cooler evenings, everything reopening at once, and event listings at their freshest. If you want theme parks without crowds, garden photos at their blooming best and a concert or gig every night of the week, this is the month to book. Prices for most shows start between Dhs80 and Dhs400, so you can build an itinerary to suit almost any budget.
