Regent Seven Seas Cruises has lifted the curtain on the drinking side of its new flagship, the Seven Seas Prestige, and it reads more like a boutique city bar crawl than a cruise ship lineup. The ship kicks off its maiden voyage from Barcelona on 13 December 2026, then splits its first season between the Caribbean and Europe.
Three headline venues anchor the new programme. Galileo's Bar takes its cue from the astronomer himself and Italy's aperitivo ritual, with premium Italian spirits and a 'Negroni Observatory' — a set of riffs on the classic. Expect an Astronomer's Negroni made with mezcal, Beefeater gin and Cocchi vermouth, plus a botanical Jupiter's Garden with gin, Frangelico and fresh basil. There's even a zero-proof Orbit Zero Espresso Martini using Lyre's non-alcoholic spirits.
Azure, paired with the ship's Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant, leans herbal and citrusy. The Monastery Sour mixes Bénédictine, brandy, lemon and thyme syrup, while a Beet and Pear Sour brings fresh beetroot juice into the glass — odd on paper, likely good in practice.
Solmar Terrace at Compass Rose handles the open-air shift, serving crisp wines, citrus-and-herb cocktails and alcohol-free options. Standouts include the Pearl of the Riviera (Grey Goose La Poire, Cocchi Americano, Luxardo and Prosecco) and an Imperial Yuzu built on junmai daiginjo sake and bergamot liqueur. Zero-proof drinkers get an Orchard Fizz with rosemary and a Dark 'n Spicy with ginger beer.
The Prestige will also carry its own exclusive signature cocktail — a Regent tradition across the fleet. It's a tequila-based number: Patrón Silver, Italicus bergamot liqueur, lime, egg white and agave, finished with grapefruit or orange bitters, a dehydrated lime wheel and a pinch of Himalayan salt.
Beyond the new openings, the usual Regent roster carries over: the Prestige and Meridian lounges, a panoramic Observation Lounge, the Art Deco Connoisseur Lounge, a casino, a pool bar and the Coffee Connection.
Why does this matter? Luxury cruise lines increasingly compete on F&B credentials, and Regent is clearly chasing travellers who care what's in the glass — including a serious commitment to well-made zero-proof drinks rather than afterthoughts. If you're eyeing the Prestige's inaugural season in the Caribbean or Europe, the bar programme is now a genuine part of the pitch.
