If you're in Doha this November and fancy taking home something actually made in Qatar rather than an imported souvenir, timing works in your favour. Delivery giant talabat has teamed up with Qatar's Ministry of Commerce and Industry for this year's National Product Week, running 5 to 12 November, and the push plays out entirely through your phone.

For the week, the talabat app is giving locally manufactured goods extra visibility through in-app features and its social channels. Eligible items on talabat mart and at participating partner stores will carry the Ministry's official Made in Qatar badge, so you can spot homegrown products at a glance while doing a normal grocery or convenience run — no need to hunt down speciality shops.

National Product Week is an annual Ministry initiative designed to show off the quality and range of Qatari-made goods and underline their growing role in the country's economy. Moaiad Aqel, talabat Qatar's Managing Director, framed the campaign as a way to make local products a default choice for everyday shopping, tying each purchase to the diversified economy laid out in Qatar National Vision 2030.

Why should a visitor care? Because Qatar's food and retail scene is heavily import-driven, and local brands can be easy to miss. The campaign is essentially a curated shortcut: open the app, look for the Made in Qatar tagging, and you'll find Qatari-made snacks, pantry goods and household products from businesses you'd otherwise never encounter. It's a low-effort way to shop like a local and put money directly into small and medium Qatari producers — and edible souvenirs tend to beat fridge magnets anyway.

The app is free to download on the iOS App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery, and delivery works across Doha. Even outside the campaign week, the Made in Qatar labelling initiative is worth watching, as more retailers adopt it year-round.
