Maldives hotels have had a strong awards season, and three names keep coming up: The Nautilus, JOALI BEING and You & Me Maldives.

JOALI BEING, meanwhile, has been upgraded from Two Keys to Three — the highest distinction in the Michelin hotel programme. It's the Maldives' most fully committed wellness island: rather than a resort with a spa, the whole property is built around what it calls the Joy of Well-Living. Programmes are personalised around four pillars — mind, skin, microbiome and energy — and delivered through dedicated spaces including the AREKA wellbeing centre, a hydrotherapy hall, a herbology centre and sound-healing facilities. The 68 villas use biophilic design to blur indoor and outdoor space, food is tied to the microbiome pillar without being joylessly restrictive, and the B'Kidult programme makes it workable for families, which is rare for a wellness property.
Elsewhere, You & Me Maldives was named Best Adults-Only Resort at the Travel Trade Maldives Awards 2026, and Madifushi Private Island picked up 'Sensation of the Year' at the Global Destination Awards in Moscow, an event spanning 33 categories across the luxury hospitality world.
