Bangkok staged the Miss Wellness World 2026 finals under the banner "Beauty With Wellness", and it was Nepal's Sanvi Mandal who walked away with the crown. The competition brought together women from more than 25 countries, with the final showdown hosted at the Asiatique The Riverfront complex before an international crowd.

This is not a conventional beauty pageant. Miss Wellness World was created to find women who can champion wellness in its broadest sense — physical, mental and emotional — and the format judges contestants on far more than appearance. Over the competition's run across Thailand, delegates took part in cultural exchange activities designed to let them share perspectives on health and wellbeing while building connections with one another.

The platform explicitly frames beauty as something that goes beyond looks, encompassing physical and mental health, self-care and the ability to bring positive energy to others and the wider community. It also introduces what organisers call a "Health To Wealth" concept, linking wellbeing to quality of life and broader economic development.

The full top five for 2026 reads: Mandal (Nepal) as Miss Wellness World; Jessica Luny of Canada as 1st runner-up, titled Miss Emerald; Natoa Bologno of Switzerland in third as Miss Prestige; Sara Bahra of Morocco fourth as Miss Primor; and Rannera Viali of Italy fifth, taking Miss Distinction. Special awards went out too, including Miss Dynamic Fit for Switzerland's Bologno, Miss Mental Wellness for South Korea's Allison Mills-Stroup, Miss Photogenic for Taiwan's Tz-uy Chen, and Miss Compassion Care for Thailand's Nattiwan Inchuh.

The final was officially opened by Prof Dr Kirksak Chareonwongsak of the Nation-Building International Institute alongside Sukanya Rajapandhin, the pageant's managing director.

For travellers, the more interesting angle is what hosting the event says about Thailand's positioning. The country has been leaning hard into wellness tourism — everything from muay thai retreats and herbal spa traditions in Chiang Mai to medical wellness hubs in Bangkok — and putting an international wellness-branded pageant on the banks of the Chao Phraya is part of that pitch. Mandal now steps into her role as a representative of the "Beauty With Wellness" philosophy, carrying the message to audiences worldwide.

If the story nudges you towards a wellness-focused Thai trip, the practical case is strong: Bangkok pairs world-class spa and medical facilities with easy international access, while destinations like Hua Hin, Phuket and Chiang Mai have built entire ecosystems around retreats, detox programmes and healthy-living stays. December through February is the comfortable time to go — cooler, drier and ideal for anything outdoors.
