Dubai Marina has a new shortcut to Eastern European comfort food. Pechka, the Russian and Eastern European eatery based at Trident Grand Mall, has launched its own app, pulling its café menu, delivery service and grocery shop into a single place to order from.

The food side is the draw for most people. Pechka cooks its menu fresh in its own Dubai kitchens, and it leans hearty: borscht, pelmeni (stuffed dumplings), blinis, syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes), fresh-baked pies and even shawarma. Delivery covers most areas of Dubai, running daily from 8am to midnight, while the café itself opens 8am to 11pm.

Where the app gets genuinely useful is the combination of café and market in one basket. Pechka Market stocks fresh produce, Russian groceries and everyday essentials, and you can order from the café and the shop together in a single checkout — with everything arriving within the hour. The app also lists ingredients, allergens, calories and nutritional info before you commit, lets you save favourite orders, and supports scheduling deliveries in advance.

There are a couple of incentives to download it. It's free, and new users get 10% off their first order when they register. Regulars can collect cashback points called Sushki on orders, redeemable either on future deliveries or in person at the Pechka Café in Dubai Marina.

For travellers, this is less about the app and more about the find: if you're staying in or around Dubai Marina and want something outside the usual brunch-and-steak circuit, Pechka is a solid detour — a bowl of borscht or a plate of syrniki makes an unusual breakfast, and the café keeps long hours. If you're self-catering in an apartment, the market side means you can pick up Russian pantry staples alongside your groceries in one delivery. The 10% first-order discount applies to visitors as much as residents, so it's worth registering if you're in town for a week or two.
