If you're eyeing a long-haul trip with Qatar Airways — whether it's a stopover in Doha or a business-class treat to Paris — there are several ways to shave money off the fare in 2026. Here's what's currently on the table.
The airline runs flash sales directly on its website throughout the year, and the current one takes up to 15% off fares to more than 170 destinations for travel through March 22, 2027. These come and go quickly, so subscribing to the airline's newsletter is the simplest way to catch them. Seasonal sales around Black Friday and Travel Tuesday are also worth marking in the calendar.
Students get the most generous treatment. The Student Club, open to anyone aged 18 to 30 enrolled at an accredited college or university, stacks up nicely: 10% off your first flight, 15% off the second, and 20% off your third and fourth, plus two free date changes, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi, and roughly 22 pounds of extra baggage (or an additional bag, depending on route). Fly at least once a year and you'll get an upgrade to a higher Privilege Club tier. Better still, members can nominate up to three family members or friends as Student Companions, who share the same perks — a rare win for non-students who travel with one.
Everyone else should look at Privilege Club, the free loyalty program. New members who join with the code PCAMER26 before December 31, 2026 can earn up to 4,000 bonus Avios after their first flight — just remember to add your membership number when booking. Avios can be spent on flights, upgrades or extra baggage, and can be combined with cash, so even small balances are usable. The program has four tiers: Burgundy at entry level (10% off seat selection), then Silver at 150 Qpoints, Gold at 300 and Platinum at 600. Qpoints come from flights, shopping at Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways Holidays packages or the co-branded Doha Bank credit card. Watch for Double Qpoints promotions on the offers page if you want to climb tiers faster.
Cardholders have a separate deal: code QRPCFLIGHT gets up to 12% off flights booked on the Qatar Airways website or app with the Privilege Club Credit Card, available for bookings through the end of October 2026.
If a code won't work, the usual culprits apply — typos, capitalisation, minimum spend requirements, expired offers or blackout dates. Clearing your browser cache or trying a different browser can help, and the airline's help desk chat is a last resort.
Why it matters: Qatar Airways is one of the strongest long-haul carriers out there, and its best discounts rarely require much effort — a free loyalty signup or a newsletter subscription is often all it takes. Students and anyone under 30 with a Student Club member in their circle have the clearest edge.
