Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is turning its Burbank backlot into Stars Hollow for the festive season, with the largest Gilmore Girls experience the studio has ever staged. Running from 12 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 (closed Christmas Day), the standalone ticketed event builds on the studio's earlier Holidays Made Here celebrations and promises a full immersive dose of the show's fictional Connecticut town.

Fans can walk through some of the series' most familiar spots: Lorelai's house, Luke's Diner, the Dragonfly Inn and Miss Patty's School of Ballet. There are new additions too. Luke's apartment has been recreated at its original Stage 13 filming location to production specs, alongside the Chilton graduation courtyard and an expanded walkthrough of the Gilmore Estate, where Emily and Richard held court. An interactive holiday take on Rory's Basket Auction nods to the season two love triangle with Dean and Jess.

Food leans into the show's coffee-and-comfort-food DNA. Caesar's Chilaquiles Nachos arrive in a collectable upside-down Luke's baseball cap, the Stars Hollow Creamery serves milkshakes themed around Rory's boyfriends, and a hidden bar pours an "I Smell Snow" peppermint colada, a tiramisu martini and Jackson's peach julep. Scott Patterson, aka Luke Danes, is expected to appear for live podcast events and photos.

Tickets start at $79 (about €68) for general admission, with a $124 (about €106) bundle that adds the wider Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. Given the event spans the peak holiday window, booking early seems wise.

The event is a prime example of "set-jetting", the growing habit of planning trips around filming locations. The trend is global: Dubrovnik draws Game of Thrones crowds to its King's Landing backdrop, the English village of Lavenham lets Harry Potter fans stay in the 15th-century house used as his childhood home, and Christopher Nolan's upcoming The Odyssey has put Sardinia, the Strait of Messina, Ithaca, Troy and Gozo on film-tourism itineraries. The White Lotus effect, meanwhile, sent travellers chasing season three locations across Thailand. For Gilmore Girls devotees, though, this is the rare chance to actually walk the sets rather than visit stand-in locations.
