Dubai is getting its own branch of 67 Pall Mall, the private members' club built entirely around wine and fine dining. The London-born institution — which already has outposts in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Swiss ski town of Verbier — has confirmed its first Middle Eastern venue will open at The Opus in Business Bay in 2027.
The club takes its cues from classic European members' clubs, but the draw here is the wine: serious cellars, paired dining and a crowd of people who care about both. The Dubai site will spread over 12,000 square feet, anchored by a light-filled Clubroom designed to work from morning coffee through to late-night glasses. There's also a casual lounge for relaxed eating and socialising, sleek private dining rooms for events, and an alfresco terrace.
Food is a big part of the pitch. Two kitchens will feed the club, and a chef residency programme will bring in acclaimed guest chefs for limited-run collaborations through the year. Add a live music and cultural events calendar, and it's positioned as much a social hub as a place to drink well.
There's a travel hook too: members get access to the club's concierge, which negotiates preferential rates at hotels worldwide and curates travel experiences — a perk that turns membership into something usable beyond Dubai.
Now the numbers. Annual membership starts at Dhs25,000. The first 100 founding members skip the joining fee entirely; the next 500 pay Dhs7,500 to join. Wine professionals get a discount, paying Dhs18,750 a year. And if you're all-in, a lifetime membership costs Dhs350,000 as a one-off.
Why care? If you're a wine lover who travels to or through Dubai regularly, this gives the city a proper fine-wine home at a time when its dining scene is mostly about big-name restaurants. The brand is also expanding fast — Melbourne, Shanghai and Bordeaux are all on the roadmap — so joining in Dubai could plug you into a network of clubs in some of the world's great wine cities. For everyone else, it's a signal of where Dubai's hospitality scene is heading: more niche, more membership-driven, more grown-up.
Founding memberships tend to move quickly when a club like this announces a new city, so anyone interested in the waived-fee tier should register interest early via the club's Dubai site.
