Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines now share one loyalty program — Atmos Rewards — and it has a dedicated business credit card: the Atmos Rewards Visa Signature Business Card, issued by Bank of America. It's essentially a rebrand of the old Alaska Airlines Visa Business Card, and the current sign-up offer is strong enough to deserve a look from anyone who flies either carrier regularly.

New applicants can earn 70,000 Atmos Rewards points plus a $99 companion fare after spending $4,000 in the first 90 days. Valuing points at roughly 1.5 cents each, that bonus is worth around $1,050 before you even factor in the companion ticket. It's not the best offer ever (80,000 points has appeared before), but it beats the standard bonus.

The fee structure is a bit unusual: $70 per year for the company plus $25 per cardholder, so a solo owner pays $95 annually. On approval, Bank of America is fairly relaxed for business cards — its 2/3/4 and 3/12 rules apply only to personal cards, approval odds improve if you already bank with BofA, and existing holders of old Alaska or Hawaiian personal cards are still eligible for the bonus. Plenty of applicants report instant approvals.

Earning rates: 3x points on Alaska and Hawaiian purchases, 2x on eligible gas, EV charging, shipping and local transit including rideshare, and 1x elsewhere. Every $3 spent also earns one status point towards elite status, uncapped, though the Summit card earns status points faster at one per $2. Pair the card with a BofA small business checking or savings account and you get a 10% relationship bonus on all points earned. There are no foreign transaction fees.

The real value is in the perks. Cardholders and up to six travel companions get a free first checked bag on Alaska and Hawaiian — worth up to $90 per person roundtrip, since bags normally run $30-45 each way — plus preferred boarding. Spend $6,000 per anniversary year and you earn another $99 companion fare, valid on all economy fares within the Americas including Hawaii, on one-ways or roundtrips, with the companion still earning points and eligible for upgrades. Taxes and fees from $23 apply, so a companion ticket costs from about $122. You also get 20% back on inflight food, drinks and Wi-Fi (though Alaska's fleetwide free Starlink Wi-Fi, expected by 2027, will shrink that perk), and $100 off an Alaska Lounge+ membership, normally $795 a year.

The honest caveats: no lounge access, no meaningful travel protections, and a flat 1.5%-equivalent return on everyday spending — this isn't the card for your grocery run. It's really for a small business owner or frequent flyer on Alaska or Hawaiian who wants the bag fees gone, boarding priority, and a genuinely flexible companion fare once or twice a year. For that traveller, the welcome bonus alone easily covers several years of the fee.
