Most no-annual-fee cards give you a token sign-up bonus and forget about you. Chase's Ink Business Unlimited is the outlier: it's currently offering 75,000 bonus points after spending $6,000 in the first three months, and it never charges a fee to keep it. For small business owners who like to fund their holidays with rewards, that combination is worth a closer look.
Here's the maths. The card is marketed as cash back — 1.5% on everything, plus 5% on Lyft rides through September 2027 — and as pure cash, that 75,000-point bonus is $750. But pair it with a premium Ultimate Rewards card like the Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred, and you can convert that cash back into transferable points. Chase Travel's Points Boost can redeem those at up to 1.75 cents each on the Preferred-tier cards or 2.5 cents on the Reserve, and transferring to airline and hotel partners can stretch them further still. One review valuing points at 1.7 cents each puts the effective welcome bonus at around $1,275.
The perks punch above the price tag too. The card includes primary rental car collision coverage for business rentals (and outside the US for personal rentals, where it's secondary within the States), up to $10,000 per item in purchase protection for 120 days, and an extra year of extended warranty on eligible purchases. Very few fee-free cards offer any of that.
Eligibility has some traps. The card falls under Chase's 5/24 rule, and you likely won't get the bonus if you've previously held a no-fee Chase business card such as the Ink Business Cash. You don't need a registered company, though — a sole proprietorship qualifies, and you can simply use your own name and Social Security number on the application.
The drawbacks are real but easy to plan around: there's a 3% foreign transaction fee, so this is a domestic-spending card — leave it at home on international trips — and there are no lounge access or premium travel perks. Competitive 2% cash back cards exist if you never touch the points ecosystem. But if you're already in the Chase game and want a flat, unlimited 1.5x on everyday business spend that can become 2.5%+ in travel value, it's arguably the best everyday earner in Chase's business lineup. Just pace your applications — one Chase business card every 30 days or so is the usual guidance, and Chase caps total credit across cards.
