Families who can't face a cold December can now take their Scout Elf to the beach. Beaches Resorts is running its Elf on the Shelf holiday programme for a fourth year, and 2026 brings a new twist: a themed Christmas suite at Beaches Negril in Jamaica, joining the returning suite at Beaches Turks and Caicos.
The resort-wide festivities run from November 27 to December 25, 2026, at both properties. Highlights include a weekly Sweet Island Soirée with music, dancing, desserts and crafts, plus outdoor movie nights showing films from The Elf on the Shelf Santaverse collection. Scout Elf Central acts as the activity hub, hosting scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, Christmas karaoke and storytime. Guests staying in butler-level rooms can even register their family's own Scout Elf on the "V.I.E." list — Very Important Scout Elves — with the butler arranging miniature milk and cookies, marshmallow baths and other small surprises during the stay.
The headline addition is The Elf on the Shelf Caribbean Vacation Suite at Beaches Negril, on Seven Mile Beach. It sleeps up to five, with a king bed and a twin daybed with trundle, a decorated Christmas tree, themed games and storybooks, and a walkout patio steps from the sand. A dedicated "Jingle Shell Butler" handles personalised service and holiday surprises.
Over at Beaches Turks and Caicos, the returning suite sits in the Italian Village and sleeps up to seven. Expect candy-cane red-and-white styling throughout — custom wallpaper, themed bedding, collectibles — plus a children's bunk room stocked with storybooks and Scout Elf plush toys, and a walkout patio near the Italian Village pool. Worth noting if you're comparing rooms: the Italian Village is a different section of the resort from the newer Treasure Beach Village.
One detail to watch when booking: the dates don't match. The suites are available from November 25, 2026 through January 3, 2027, but the full programme of parties and activities only runs to December 25. Book a suite in late December and you'll get the decor without the events. The partnership with The Lumistella Company runs through the 2028 season, so this looks set to become a fixture rather than a one-off.
For families who already do the Elf ritual at home, this is a neat way to keep the December magic going without sacrificing a beach holiday — and the Negril suite means there's now a choice of two islands for a Christmas break where the butler delivers cookies to your elf.
