A 110-berth marina, a design-forward clubhouse and a full calendar of members-only events: Pendry Yacht Club is the latest addition to Barbados' luxury waterfront scene, and it will open its doors before the brand's first Caribbean resort even welcomes guests.

The club sits on the Platinum Coast as part of the wider Pendry Barbados project, which is slated to open in 2027. While the resort itself is still in the works, the yacht club is being positioned as the first milestone — giving members access to the marina, the pool deck and the clubhouse ahead of any hotel stay.

The boating side is built for vessels up to 80 feet, with dedicated dock management and concierge support for owners and crews. Members can sort provisioning, plan excursions and even arrange private dining without leaving the dock. Back on shore, the Clubhouse comes furnished by RH, with gathering spaces, a game room and shower facilities, while outside there's a Marina pool, sun deck and a bar serving cocktails and shaved ice — a casual landing spot between a day at sea and an afternoon lounging by the water.

Membership also buys entry to a programme of cultural and social events, details of which are still to come. And once the resort opens in 2027, members get privileged access to the full amenity set: Spa Pendry, the Compass Sports facility, the Paintbox kids' club and the resort's restaurants, which promise a mix of Italian-inspired cooking, wood-fired dishes and Bajan flavours across venues from beach bars to a dockside Marina Restaurant.

The development rounds out with 46 Pendry Residences, ranging from two to five bedrooms, all furnished by RH with waterfront terraces — and some ground-floor homes getting infinity-edge pools. Residential buyers who join the yacht club get priority slip placement, though club membership is a separate arrangement from buying a home.

For travellers, this is worth watching for two reasons. If you're a boat owner who cruises the Caribbean, a new full-service marina with membership perks on Barbados' west coast is a genuinely new option. And if you're simply planning a 2027-or-later Barbados trip, the resort's mix of 80 guestrooms, a marina setting and a culinary programme rooted in local flavours puts it on the shortlist of new openings to consider. Sailing fans heading to the island sooner can still enjoy the west coast's established marina and beach club scene while this one takes shape.
