Canada's Wonderland, the big amusement park in Vaughan just north of Toronto, has locked in dates for its 2026 Halloween Haunt: September 25 to November 1, nightly from 6 p.m. It's the park's flagship fall event, transforming the grounds into a Halloween playground for five weeks while keeping many of the headline coasters running after dark.
The anchor attraction is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a haunted house where you play paranormal investigators locking away cursed artefacts while the franchise's nastier characters stalk the set. Alongside it sit the Macabre Mazes, a rotating cast of corridors with fan favourites like Cornstalkers, Dark Ride and Demons of the Deep. Beyond the enclosed scares, seven outdoor Sinister Scare Zones spread monsters through the walkways, and new for 2026 are an acrobatic live show called The Skeleton Crew and a scare-cam photo op that captures your face mid-freakout inside The Conjuring maze.
Budget accordingly, because the pricing is layered. Base admission to the Haunt starts at $45 plus tax and includes the park and select Halloween experiences. The Conjuring house costs an extra $30, while the Macabre Mazes are bundled into a separate Halloween Haunt Bundle at $55 plus tax. Rides including AlpenFury, Behemoth, Yukon Striker, Mighty Canadian Minebuster and The Bat stay open, so coaster fans can squeeze in night rides between scares — the park's website lists exactly what's running each night.
A few house rules are worth knowing before you go. Anyone 15 or younger must be with a chaperone aged 21 or older after 4 p.m., a policy the park made permanent this year. Costumes are banned after 6 p.m., there's no re-entry once you leave the Haunt, and everyone needs to be inside before 10 p.m.
For travellers, this is one of the biggest Halloween events in Canada and an easy add-on to a Toronto autumn trip: it pairs well with fall festivals in the region and means the park's thrill rides are open into the evening with spooky theming. Book tickets online in advance, plan which paid extras you actually want, and go on a weeknight if you'd rather not queue behind hundreds of teenagers.
