Hyatt is adding a new page to its Caribbean all-inclusive story, and this one comes with boats outside the window. Zoëtry Marina Cap Cana, the brand's next Dominican Republic resort, is slated to open on March 1, 2027 inside the gated Cap Cana community on the country's eastern coast. Bookings have not opened yet, but the plans are detailed enough to start getting excited about.

What sets this property apart is its setting. Rather than the usual beachfront-only formula, the resort sits right at Cap Cana Marina, where the harbor meets the sea. Guests get direct beach access plus a short walk to the marina's waterfront restaurants, bars and bistros — a nice change for travellers who like the ease of all-inclusive but want somewhere to wander beyond the hotel gates. The surrounding development has Mediterranean-inspired architecture and yachts at their slips.

The rooms are all suites, from junior categories up to a three-space Presidential Suite, finished with natural materials and a muted palette. Every suite gets a large balcony or private terrace looking over the gardens, the Caribbean or the marina itself, so room choice really is about which view you want to wake up to.

On the dining front, four restaurants fall under Zoëtry's Endless Privileges all-inclusive concept, with personalized concierge service included. One named venue so far is Raíz, an all-day beach bistro serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu blending international dishes, tropical influences and locally sourced ingredients. Keep in mind that eating out at the marina means paying separately — budget for at least one dinner off-property if that appeals.

Wellness is a big part of the pitch. There are two swimming pools, a spa with hydrotherapy experiences, a fitness center and that direct beach access, making it easy to build a slow day around a morning swim, spa time and an afternoon on the sand.

The wider Cap Cana area adds reasons to leave the lounger. Golfers have Punta Espada, the Jack Nicklaus championship course with eight holes along or above the Caribbean. Families and activity-seekers can look at Scape Park for outdoor excursions, El Dorado Water Park and the Los Establos equestrian center.

Hyatt already runs Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana nearby, long praised for its intimate gardens and thatched-roof feel, and Zoëtry Marigot Bay in Saint Lucia with its yacht-filled harbor. The new Cap Cana property borrows from both — the brand's quiet, personal style plus a harbor-side location that invites evening strolls.

For anyone eyeing a Punta Cana trip in 2027, this is one to watch, especially if you've found traditional all-inclusives a bit sealed-off. It won't suit travellers who never want to see the resort boundaries — the marina restaurants will tempt you off-site and onto your own tab — but that walkability is exactly the draw.
