One of Texas's biggest golf resorts is getting bigger. Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, the sprawling golf-led resort north of Dallas, has announced Fields Ranch Pavilion — a new two-storey events venue set to open in late spring 2027 inside the resort's PGA District.
The pavilion, designed with The Beck Group, will sit beside the District's event lawn and retail promenade, looking out over the Fields Ranch driving range and the PGA of America headquarters. The idea is a venue that works indoors and out: floor-to-ceiling views across the championship courses, with dining, shops and entertainment a short walk away.
There's a fair amount of space on offer. The ground floor covers 3,241 square feet and holds up to 160 guests for dinners, receptions and meetings. The rooftop adds another 3,454 square feet for up to 180 people, plus a terrace over the PGA District — a plausible spot for cocktail hours, ceremonies and networking events. Food comes from the resort's banquet team, with menus ranging from plated dinners to interactive setups like street taco stations and sushi displays, and late-night options including fresh-fired pizza and State Fair-style treats.
The pavilion slots into an already large operation. Omni PGA Frisco currently has more than 127,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, 500 rooms and suites, ten Ranch House villas with private patios and chef's kitchens, two championship golf courses, the Mokara Spa and 13 restaurants. Managing director Jeff Smith frames the resort as a gathering place rather than purely a golf destination — and the pavilion is the latest piece of that.
Why does this matter if you're not booking a 160-person corporate event? Because large group venues tend to pull leisure business with them. The resort has become one of the country's newer upscale golf getaways, and rooftop space overlooking the practice range could just as easily host a wedding or a milestone birthday as a conference breakout. If you're planning a golf trip to the Dallas area with friends, it's another reason Frisco is on the map — and if you're organising a group celebration, the venue will be taking enquiries ahead of its 2027 opening.
