Black Friday isn't just for electronics this year — a handful of Puerto Rico hotels are using the sale window to fill their 2027 calendars, and the discounts are genuinely substantial. If a Caribbean escape has been sitting on your wishlist, the next week or so of booking windows is when the prices drop.

The headline offer comes from an adults-only beachfront resort running its sale from November 26 to December 2. Book a two-night minimum stay and you get 30 percent off room rates, a welcome cocktail on arrival, a $50 food and beverage credit, and 20 percent off a night kayak experience — a nice nod to Puerto Rico's famous bioluminescent bays. Travel must begin December 1 or later.

A historic property in the island's grand-hotel tradition is running a parallel deal, bookable November 27 through December 1 for stays up to October 31. It covers 20 percent off every suite category, throws in a $100 hotel credit and takes 20 percent off spa treatments. Another participating hotel is offering up to 20 percent off all room categories plus a $100 food and beverage credit per stay and 15 percent off spa treatments, with bookings open November 25 to December 2 for stays through May 31, 2027 — though you'll need a four-night minimum and the promo code E6780.

The two Wyndham properties keep it simple with big percentage cuts. Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach & Golf Resort takes 30 percent off its best available rate for stays from January 1 through October 31, 2027, booked between November 27 and 30, with a three-night minimum. Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Boutique Resort matches the 30 percent discount and adds a $25 daily credit, bookable the same window for 2027 stays, two-night minimum.

The fine print matters here. Each deal has its own booking window, travel period and minimum stay, so it pays to match the offer to your actual travel dates rather than booking on impulse. The Wyndham deals only apply to 2027 stays starting January 1, which makes them a good fit for a spring or early-summer trip, while the adults-only offer gets you to the island as early as December.

Why bother? Puerto Rico is one of the easiest Caribbean trips for US travellers — no passport needed, plenty of direct flights, and a mix of old-city charm, rainforest hikes and beaches that few islands can match. Locking in 30 percent off peak-season rates before the new year is the kind of saving that usually only shows up in flash sales.
