Regent Seven Seas Cruises is doubling down on land-based motoring experiences, expanding its partnership with Motorsport Lab to launch four pre- and post-cruise programs across seven European voyages in 2027. The itineraries centre on three of the continent's most storied motoring destinations: Barcelona, the Goodwood Estate in England, and Italy's Motor Valley near Bologna.
The idea is simple: rather than a standard city tour before or after boarding, guests get behind the wheel or up close with serious machinery, guided by Motorsport Lab, which curates the entire collection. Highlights across the programs include supercar and classic-car driving, private access to collections, motorsport activities, regional food and culture.
Three standouts anchor the 2027 line-up. In Barcelona, an Exotic Supercar Edition (post-cruise, July 29 to August 1, 2027) pairs street driving along sections of the city's historic racing circuit with a private aerial experience and intimate access to a private collection spanning supercars, race cars, motorcycles and classics. A Classic Porsche Edition (pre-cruise, July 26-29, 2027) puts guests in vintage Porsches on Catalonia's interior and coastal roads, with a stop at the historic Terramar racetrack and the seaside town of Sitges.
Meanwhile, House of Motorsports at Goodwood (offered both pre-cruise, August 18-21, and post-cruise, August 21-24, 2027) is the most varied of the lot: performance hot laps on the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit, motorsport off-roading and driving activities, then a distinctly English counterbalance of golf with professional instruction, clay shooting, afternoon tea and an art tour. A second Motorsport Magic program, Italy's Supercar Escape in Bologna, rounds out the collection in the heart of Motor Valley.
Regent president Wesley D'Silva framed the expansion as a way to go beyond traditional sightseeing, while Motorsport Lab founder and CEO Ray Chang described the 2027 programs as a chance to experience motorsport culture from the inside.
Why it matters: cruise lines are increasingly selling longer, richer pre- and post-cruise add-ons, and this one targets a specific passion rather than generic sightseeing. If you've ever combined a cruise booking with a fantasy about driving a supercar or lapping Goodwood, this bundles the two into a single trip — with luxury cruise logistics handled on either side. The catch is timing: the programs run on specific dated voyages in mid-2027, so you'd plan the cruise around the land program rather than the other way round. Petrolheads who also play golf or shoot clay will find House of Motorsports an unusually well-rounded few days.
