Missed out on BTS tickets in Singapore? There's a consolation prize, and it's a big one. BTS The City Arirang, the city-wide fan experience run by the group's label HYBE, arrives in Singapore for the whole of December 2026 — its first and only Southeast Asian stop.

The concept turns a host city into a BTS playground: installations, light shows and interactive events tied to the group's music and their ARIRANG world tour. It kicked off in Seoul in March 2026 and has since passed through Las Vegas, Busan, London and New York, lighting up landmarks like Lotte World Tower, the Empire State Building and the London Eye along the way.

Singapore's edition runs 1–31 December 2026 in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, overlapping the band's four National Stadium concerts on 17, 19, 20 and 22 December — their first shows in the city in seven years. Pre-sales in June saw over 144,000 fans stuck in queues, so plenty of ARMY will be experiencing December from outside the stadium. The good news: the programme is built for them too.

Expect the city to glow red — ARIRANG's signature colour — each night from 8 to 22 December, with Marina Bay and the Singapore River landmarks joining in. The Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, The Fullerton Hotel, The Helix Bridge, Anderson Bridge, Millenia Tower, OUE Bayfront and The Ritz-Carlton Millenia are all on the illumination list. Jewel Changi Airport's Rain Vortex gets a themed light-and-music show, and the National Museum of Singapore hosts sound and light installations.

Beyond the lights, there's plenty to do. Mandai Wildlife Reserve's immersive multimedia venue Exploria gets a BTS takeover, while the National Gallery Singapore pairs the group's music with works from its Pop After Pop: Art Around Us exhibition on a dedicated art trail. Sentosa hosts its own installations plus a BTS-themed race and a rave with a drone show set to the band's catalogue. Universal Studios Singapore will fire off fireworks choreographed to BTS songs, and the Kallang area gets interactive activity zones. Night owls can head to Zouk, which is staging opening and closing night parties.

For travellers, this is an unusually easy way to join a global fan moment without a concert ticket. The events are spread across the island — Changi, Marina Bay, the Civic District, Sentosa and Mandai — so a few days in the city covers a lot of ground, and December's festive atmosphere adds to the draw. The Tourism Board says further programme details are still coming, so it's worth checking the lineup before booking flights.
