Forget braving the cold for mulled wine — Toronto's fanciest holiday market is indoors. The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is once again turning its EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace into a European-inspired Curated Holiday Market, running from November 5 through December 30, 2026, and it costs nothing to wander through.
The idea is simple: all the charm of a Christkindl-style market without frozen fingers. Local vendors and artisans set up shop inside the hotel, selling gifts and seasonal treats under festive décor. It's a solid option for anyone who wants to tick off a chunk of their gift list without trudging through a snowy square.
And the food goes well beyond the usual pretzel stand. The kitchen is serving slow-braised ham hock sliders with pineapple marmalade, Yorkshire pudding stuffed with brisket, and truffled mac and cheese. For dessert, there's gingerbread sticky toffee pudding plus a rotating lineup of house-made baked goods.
Drinks lean properly festive too: hot and chilled seasonal cocktails, festive bubbles, prestige Scotch whiskies and Champagne, with non-alcoholic options mixed in so nobody's left holding a glass of tap water. There's also a giant snow globe inside the hotel for photos — cheesy, yes, but your holiday card will thank you.
The market runs Monday to Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m., with earlier Sunday sessions from noon to 5 p.m. — handy if you want a daytime browse before dinner. Hotel general manager Lukas Boeckmann has framed the market as part of a wider festive push, pulling dining, gifting and seasonal experiences together across the property for both guests and locals.
Why it matters: most Toronto holiday markets involve queuing outside in minus-ten weather. This one gives you the artisan-shopping-and-festive-drinks experience at a comfortable indoor temperature, with a luxury-hotel polish. It works as a date night, a low-effort festive outing with visiting family, or a warm-up stop before exploring the Entertainment District. If you're in Toronto between early November and the end of December, it's an easy, free hour or two — just budget for the truffled mac and cheese, because you will want it.
