Ice legends Torvill and Dean will swap the rink for the deck next winter. Dame Jayne Torvill and Sir Christopher Dean are the star names on Saga Cruises' "Canary Island Wonders" sailing, where they'll give a talk plus a Q&A session aboard the Spirit of Adventure.
Fans can expect stories from a career packed with British, European and World Championship titles — and, of course, the free dance at the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics that earned them perfect scores and a place in British sporting history. The pair have also spent years as coaches and judges on ITV's Dancing on Ice, and they'll be spilling behind-the-scenes detail from the show.
This isn't a one-off. The duo appeared on Saga's Spirit of Discovery during a "Northern Lights and Festive Delights" cruise in late 2025, so they're clearly comfortable on the line's smaller ships.
The itinerary itself is a decent reason to book. The 15-night cruise departs Portsmouth on 7 December 2026, with an overnight stay in Funchal, Madeira — handy for a proper evening out rather than a rushed day call.
