Vancouver General Hospital's 2026 Millionaire Lottery is live, and the top prize is the biggest in the draw's history: more than $3.4 million. Winners choose between 11 Grand Prize home packages scattered across some of British Columbia's most desirable spots — the Okanagan wine country, the beachside suburbs of White Rock and South Surrey, Vancouver itself, Burnaby, Abbotsford, and three communities on Vancouver Island (Sooke, Courtenay and Colwood) — or simply $3 million in tax-free cash.
The lottery raises money for the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. VGH is the largest and most specialised hospital in the province and its top adult referral centre, and every dollar from ticket sales goes toward equipment and research there. The track record is solid: since the lottery began it has raised over $100 million, with last year's $6.9 million funding ventilators, mobility gear, operating room equipment and research programmes.
Buying early pays off, literally. An Early Bird draw hands out $1,000 to 40 winners and $500 to 20 more, plus one larger prize where the winner picks between a 2026 Toyota Tundra Hybrid paired with a Toyota 4Runner, a private jet travel experience courtesy of Travel Best Bets, or $150,000 in cash. In total there are thousands of prizes worth over $4 million, including cars, cash and world travel. The key date: order before November 6 to be entered into every draw.
For travellers, the appeal is obvious even if you never set foot in a hospital. The Grand Prize homes double as a ready-made base in some of Canada's best holiday regions — lakefront Okanagan summers, island life in Sooke or Courtenay, or a city pied-à-terre in Vancouver. Even if the lottery isn't your thing, the prize list is a neat scattershot of where British Columbia living is most tempting right now.
Tickets are available now through the VGH+ Millionaire Lottery website.
