Saint Levant, Ziad Zaza and Shehab will top the bill at Dopa World, a new two-day festival making its debut at Jubilee Park in Dubai's Expo City on December 18 and 19, running from 4pm each day. Tickets start at Dhs245 and are on sale via platinumlist.net.
The festival pitches itself as more than a concert. Built around the new wave of Arab hip-hop, trap, R&B and indie music, it also folds in fashion, food and design — organisers describe the park as a miniature cultural village rather than a standard festival ground.
Fashion is a big part of the draw. Around 50 independent brands are flying in from creative hubs such as Cairo and Ramallah, selling graphic tees, limited-edition streetwear drops, art books and lifestyle merch from regional designers that are usually difficult to get hold of. Several labels are producing exclusive products just for the festival.
Food follows the same local-first logic. Instead of the usual fast-food trucks, expect curated stalls from homegrown Middle Eastern operators — regional fusion dishes, trendy street food and indie specialty coffee roasters from the Levant and Gulf scenes.
If you're already in Dubai for the winter season, this is an easy add to the calendar. December is peak month for city events — the Emirates Dubai 7s with Mel C and Jax Jones lands around the same window — and Expo City sits on the metro's Route 2020 branch, so no car needed. For anyone into Arabic music or regional streetwear, it's a rare chance to catch this scene in one place without flying to Cairo or Beirut.
